Andy and Yahoo!’s Dan Wetzel discuss the news Dan broke Wednesday that a group of Big Ten presidents is evaluating possible further westward expansion that could include Cal, Oregon, Stanford and Washington. Meanwhile, the Pac-12 awaits decisions from Arizona and Arizona State. Andy and Dan also talk about Florida State president Rick McCullough’s declaration Wednesday that the Seminoles should look to leave the ACC. Does Florida State have a plan to get out of the ACC? Would the Big Ten or SEC take the Seminoles. (0:00-27:17)

We return to actual football talk with an interview with Kansas State guard Cooper Beebe, who might be the best interior lineman in college football. (27:41-45:00)

Later, Andy talks Oregon with Scoopduck publisher Justin Hopkins. (46:16-1:01:43)

Out of nowhere, Arizona announces a meeting for Thursday evening starting at 9 PM ET (1:01:44-1:05:41)

After a recruit’s photo of a plate of food at a Michigan recruiting event went viral, Andy called professional pitmaster (and former Florida offensive lineman) Shannon Snell to discuss what a school should cook when recruits are on campus. Prepare for a deep barbecue conversation. (1:05:42- 1:15:06)

Andy’s Extra Point returns to FSU, which did something highly unusual Wednesday. Will it work? (1:15:14-1:17:22)

FSU fan here. I just wanted to note that in regards to the money conversation about FSU, the football program will forever be funded with maximum investment. As a fan I'm not worried about that. What I'm worried about is the other 19 sports in the athletic program. If we run at a deficit, well when our national championship winning softball coach is poached that sucks. When our top 10 women's soccer coach is poached…that sucks. When/if baseball or basketball coaches get poached etc… Also the Baseball stadium needs massive upgrades. Point being we can not compete with Florida, Alabama, and UGA in everything at such a deficit.

USC and UCLA killed the Pac 12 Larry Scott and the Pac 12 presidents killed the Pac 12! The big 10 just picked up the phone just like any other conference would have. Are you telling me the big 12 wouldn’t have taken USC and UCLA or the SEC wouldn’t have taken USC and UCLA. Of course they would’ve.

Dan Weztle is an idiot and been wrong about everything just like Democrats. The arrogance and narcissistic ignorance that comes from him and others included Mr. Staples is just plain disgusting and inappropriate and unprofessional. Canzano, Wilner, Spencer McLaughlin, Hamilton and others are all smug and disgusting and disrespectful democrats who gave their opinions and supposedly expertise in journalistic integrity and ethics disingenuously and not be fired but definitely reprimanded. There are people who cover the Big12 and Big10 and ACC who should be penalized as well for similar behavior and transgressions. Not hating just saying.

No, the Rose Bowl stays in Indy. Oh, and the Tech industry in the Bay area is DYING. Cal and Stanford would be fluff in the Big Ten. Oh, and yes, we Nebraska fans are thrilled right now. How is soaking the students with fees for athletics a good thing?

This conversation is outdated by about 6 months. We’ll revisit this next august and this will be littered with inaccuracies.

Fsu fans and administrators are idiots and rednecks. If they want out, they need to negotiate with espn and the other ACC schools and reach a settlement. It’s that simple.

Learned more today. Looks like Washington and Oregon will come first as more ready. Then Cal and Stanford after. Also, would like Florida State, Clemson, Miami, Notre Dame, but Notre Dame is very slow to join any conference.

It’s gonna go to 24 if those ACC teams mentioned can figure out the stricter bad contract stuff they are in. The Big Ten doesn’t just want the West Coast schools but they want the southeast as well due to viewers, money, where the athletes are, etc. They just have to wait for those teams to decide it’s better for them to break out now rather than later. The remaining teams will go to the SEC and Big 12. The schools to feel sad for are the non-72 teams that will NOT end up in those 3 conferences.
