Love these Inktober illustrations
Love the wolf and the swearing duck.
Eekβ¦.Cockroaches!! πͺ³ I lived in Florida for a long time and the roaches are HUGE there. They creep me out more than just about ANY bug.π±. BTW: love the art Iβm seeing. I just wasnβt able to do Inktoberβ¦.βΉοΈmaybe next year. π
Ok, I always love your work and think you have the best channel on Youtube, but your "Bad Dog" coyote is phenomenal!!! Oh my goodness, I love it. Also super excited about the marker course! Not quite finished with your water soluble wax pastel class yet, but I know I'll want to do the marker course next so I'm ordering now while you're running the sale because your courses are fantastic. I am not artistically gifted in any way, shape, or form however under your tutelage, lately I have managed to muddle my way into some passable work so thank you SO MUCH.
I can't believe the amount of painting you get done!! Awesome, only a dream here lol
Thank you so muchβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ.
This was my first year trying inktober. I failed miserably. I did not lay down one line of ink for an actual drawing. I doodled circles and flowers on a piece of paper. Thank You for sharing your work. It inspires me to try again next year. π
I love the armadillo. βPossum on the half shell.β You could sell cards w/ the armadillo on the front in FL and GA and throughout the south. !!!
Actually and seriously, Iβve all the drawings. Beautiful!
Hi Lindsay, Amazing Inktober sketchbook for sure! I am in awe of you! You are the best artist on YouTube. Your dedication is amazing and your work load πawesome. My favorite is Crabby and the runner-up is Ponytail, not that you were asking but I wanted to acknowledge.I think Crabby took a lot of work and I love the colors and you capture the crab perfectly. Ponytail reminds me of me! I try so hard to make my ponytail look good and itβs always kind of messy looking with my cowlick in the back. The ribbon is pretty. I hope you can take a much needed rest after Inktober 2022! All of your videos have helped me get through the long days of Covid! I have now recovered. Thank you for all your art!
Just signed up for your alcohol markers class! I am thrilled!
Please thank your husband for sharing you with Inktober and the channel. π The range of mediums and styles is really impressive! Two favorites are the lantern and the fall landscape. I like the gear painting as is-the colors and textures are gorgeous.
This is the first month I tried Inktober and decided to draw prompt-related vignettes from a Richard Scarry book because I really canβt draw from imagination. At some point, I may go back and watercolor them-I opted out of water coloring as I went because I donβt have a daily art practice.
My favorite pictures are the ones that you just use from memory.
Duck is so funny!
I did a bat swinging a batπ
π I love that you called me "Books in Hiding" I totally should use that ID for some account or other! π Thanks for your advice for the Briston / Mix Media paper/ Card Stock not changing ones paper too much! I really want to take your class, but trying to figure out my budget. Either way, wishing you the best November possible!
25:56 Donβt worry, I laughed! ππππ #dΜΆaΜΆdΜΆLindsayJokes π€¬ π¦
I feel like you're so hard on your imagination drawing! π₯Ί I absolutely love it because it gives your art a unique style, and as much as I love your work from reference, it doesn't have the same energy that your art from imagination has! πβ¨οΈ What's your insta? I would love to follow you! I enjoyed inktober but I got super sick (on top of already being disabled) so I wasn't able to finish out the month, nor was I able to do every day but I was really happy with most of what I ended up producing! β€οΈ I really love everything you did too, very creative and fun! π€
I really enjoyed this chat and review of inktober paintings you did in your sketch book….i save my mess ups only cause im a amatuer and i want to see how my progression of my skills grow….im not sure which one i like the best the fowl one made me laugh i like the buoys and the gears and halloween candy… tho all your pages look lovely id feel happy if i could have one on my wall sooo…im glad i was able to see your sketchs that you turned into ink paintings…,, is it okay to use inktense on watercolor paper? Is inktense considered a different supply verus alcohol markers? Im kinda confused on alcohol markers arent they ink supply??????mikelle art momπ¨βπ©βπ¨
Where do you find the prompts for Inktober? I would love to try it one year. 21, 28 and 30 are my faves but they are all great. The Fowl sketch reminds me of the Aflac Duck. I would curse too!
I watching this late, been ill. Loved seeing your Inktober. I did it last year for the first time, not a artist just started adult coloring a few years ago. I just enjoy you so much! I joined your class to see if I can learn to use my makers better. Thanks for all your hard work!!π§‘π€π§‘
Dear Lindsay,
Your "trip" bags, was my wedding cake with a swing tag that said, Just married. I had some long stem roses thrown over it too, all in sugar. The colours were purples and gold. One chocolate two fruit cakes, the top one, the makeup bag was my anniversary cake. Everyone remembers my cake as it looked so real.
That was in 2002, my ex we stayed together 19 years..
When I saw your stack of bags, it was a nice reminder….
In kindred spirit, Eliza Australia, 8th of November 2022; PS Lovely video, lots of daily work adds up to a lot! xx
EDIT: Could you colour photocopy the coloured gears, then work over the copies? I can see this work about 5 different ways.
Gear reminds me of the porthole painting you did years ago. It was rusty too
Crumb was such a great artist for making you think about another person's point of view.
All the pieces are great, but I do REALLY love the gears! As far as drawing from memory, it is a very very very difficult thing to do UNLESS you have a strongly vivid imagination. And most artists that DO draw from their imagination, don't necessarily go for realism. They draw as an expression of their unique imaginings.
i am amazed at the amount of times you put down your abilities . you have the same self dought i have alowed to stop me in my tracks and yet you make a living with your art. you are amazing both in your abilities and the motivation you have given me to move forward wiith my art
Wonderful achievement! π
I really like the gears β¦ and just the way they are! I think they look GREAT .
Always fun flipping through your journals. Its hard to pick a favorite pic…they are all wonderful! π
These are amazing!
