The right front wheel was torn off and and hit him in the head with enough force to fracture his skull, and two pieces of the suspension penetrated his helmet and visor, cutting major arteries. Anyone of this injuries would have been fatal on their own.

Theyre driver-safty-cell is unbeliveble strong and in todays f1, almost every very hard crash results in not a singel injury, if a driver gets injured today, its just something little like a bruise.
