The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines phenomena as “an unusual, significant, or unaccountable fact or occurrence”. Things like gravity, auroras, decomposition, and even fermentation are just a few examples of natural phenomena. Then there are those that are a little less typical, and a lot more out of the ordinary. Massive waves that seem to last forever, stunning animal migrations that blot out the sky, and lighting storms that have neither a beginning nor an end are just a few examples of these bizarre occurrences. Many of these events happen around the world, all without our knowledge, begging the question: if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Some things just have to be seen to be believed, and we’re incredibly lucky that many of these events have in fact been filmed and documented, even if it was just once.
