As an American, I also find it rude when people talk loudly on their phones. Luckily, our state's transit company reserves a quiet car that forbids that kind of behavior! I have a lot of friends in the UK and we always have fun comparing our cultures.

I love how almost all of these apply to the US as well if you're not an asshole!

UK seems great if a majority of the population is polite.

I can't help but thing that if there hasn't been a study to determine the cost of your royals, then it's probably because they cost more than they take in through tourism. That said, I sill like it. I love British history.

#14: Alcohol is a drug (if you deny it, you have a worse problem than you think), ergo, a drinking culture is a drug culture.

I have lived in the U.S. for 23 years and my American hubby and I argue over tipping every time. I NEVER get away with 10% so it is a constant battle between 15% and 20%. Sometimes my victory will be paying $1 less than my husband wants to tip. πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ Seriously, 23 years and we still argue … every … single … time!

I'm Spanish and yeah, people don't respect queues here. It's sooooooo annoying, I understand you. I also like you politeliness.

JIm Archer June 25, 2022 at 12:49 am

I have found your videos very entertaining and as aTexan I even understood most of what you said. I don’t understand the royalty thing. If the British like all the pomp and ceremony, why don’t you just hire attractive actors for the royal positions and be sure to have a moral clause in their contracts. Then get rid of all the rest.

Tickital June 25, 2022 at 9:54 pm

11:00 this is interesting, i wouldn’t necessarily say it has to be the right (unless you’re on the underground that is) – you just have to be on the same side as everyone else. i often stand on the left on an empty escalator since i think anyone rushing can work out that they should go on the other side

Jillian S June 25, 2022 at 11:16 pm

I learned the escalator rule the hard way!

Thank you for a well-presented video with minimal use of "like", "kind of" and "kind of like". Full of interesting cultural truths and enjoyable humour.

Number 3: …. Unless u live in certain parts of South London where its every man for himself. Get in where u fit in type of thing lol

Christopher Graham June 26, 2022 at 2:13 pm

Number 15: It really isn't a bother for me to hold the door for a short while. My great-grandmother taught me that it takes 2 seconds out of your day to be nice to someone, and a lifetime to regret being mean. And besides, I stopped being in a hurry when the US Government (Army) handed me my walking papers.

Car horns? I've actually got out of my car at traffic lights because the car behind me beeped his horn in frustration that I didn't drive off at the split second the lights changed to green. (It's that old joke. The shortest known length of time? The time between the lights going to green, and the car behind you beeping.) Well this one day I was already in a foul mood having been to Ikea with the family. (Yep, that'll do it, everyone cries in unison.) So, I hand-braked up and got out and started looking at MY car. He's now shouting out of his window asking what I'm doing? "Well you beeped your horn. I thought there must be something wrong with my car, because that would be the only sensible reason anyone would beep at the car in front in what is basically stationary traffic.." Might have made him think twice before doing it again, who knows? Oh and fwiw, don't try this if you're not a big bloke btw.. lol
