Just as the Victorian era is incorrectly portrayed as a period of demureness, misconceptions about the British monarchy β specifically, Queen Victoria β are equally persistent. In reality, crazy stories about the royal family abound from Victoria’s court, the most well-known of which typically have to do with the standards Victoria set for Victorian mourning customs. However, despite accounts of her puritanical tendencies, Victoria was actually quite fond of sex and had a deep appreciation for the naked human form. Even the contents of her grave β the things she wanted to be interred with for eternity β had some highly sexual overtones that spoke to the question of what sex was like during the Victorian era.

Oh What Romantics you give to a Dictator
Wow. I sure didn't know. Thanks ππ
She loved her husband so much he may have been a blood relative…oh wait he was
Dam she a real one holding it down for her man π
Really interesting!! Thank you!!π
Victoria's daughter Beatrice married a German: Prince Henry of Battenberg. Not Spanish, *German*.
The picture you used of Queen Philippa is actually Elisabeth of Bavaria, the Empress of Austria-Hungary as wife to Emperor Franz-Joseph.
The picture they show of queen philippa is actually sisi empress of austria in her hungarian gown π
Did he say Victoria was "pissed off"?π
Is there a reason, in this day and age, the nipples on all the classical paintings are blacked out? Preeeety sure we've all seen far more "improper" body parts (the penis on the Statue of David, for example), these glaring black squares entirely ruin the beauty of the classical paintings shown. Fire your art director for this idiotic move!
Making love was behind closed doors and wishing at times that way today.
She called Princess Victoria a cow because her daughter had the audacity to breast feed
First cousins were married
Did she shave her pits or were they bushy and greasy?
Keeping his room , fresh clothes and water everyday?? So do they still do this?

I just love Queen Victoria… Pure drama queen pardon the pun always strong in her opinions and mourning her love painfully…. Plus loved a shag πππ
I love the narrator
I am from India and there is a saying that Queen Victoria bathed once a year
Have not seen her smiling,..they were serious and discipline??
01:29 The risque factor of the portrait was that she was at least partially smiling with her teeth showing. At the time, to smile in a portrait was said to be sexually suggestive which could ruin a woman's reputation as well as her chances for marriage. To smile even a little, with teeth showing was scandalous. This goes for in real life, as well. Men smiled on rare occasions, respectable women NEVER smiled in portraits or real life except in private with a husband or if she were a courtesan.
The Tsarina's son, Alexei, had hemophilia due to being related to Queen Victoria.
I could never control my child the way I felt controlled over my parents. Toxic generational parenting exists
Me and Victoria share the same opinions about marriage
So in layman terms, she's a bitch. Got it lol
Victoria was quite proud of her German roots, and often visited Ehrenburg Castle in Germany, the seat of her German nobility. There she met with the Emperor of Austria, Franz Josef. During these visits, she vehemently promoted the idea of German National Unity, insisting that the Austrian Hapsburg and the Prussian Hohenzollern leaders, come together to form a united Germany. In 1914, the two powers finally did come together, and together they lost The Great War. Germany has had nothing but problems ever since.
Why are womanβs nipples covered but not mens? We donβt show vaginas or penises thatβs fine but really are womens breast so offensive?
I learned a lot about Albert and Vic so this wonβt be weird for me. Glad you mentioned right off the bat how hot she was for Albertβs bod LOL. Not surprising!
3:03 if you mean that Princess Alice was prince Philip Mountbattenβs mom, thatβs the wrong princess Alice. That is an entirely diff PA. Gotta get that right π
I think my Mom might be Queen Victoria DNA connected through Royal lines some how. I thought i was due to my nose & similar looks but her & my mother are so identical which is very strange & my Mother had all this victorian type art aswell. When I feel Victorias energy I see my Mother which is extremely strange! The more ascension happens the more I feel energy connections. Strange stuff this ascension business! I didn't think we where this close to this line through our Pedigree record. I keep coming back to Victoria for some reason in energy. Idk
FAMILIES OF PEDOS
it wasn't victoria who was 'prim and prudish'. it was albert who was very uptight.
It was Beatrice's daughter, not Beatrice
Your photo is of the future Alexander III and his Danish fiancee. Neither had or carried hemophilia.
Your photo when describing Q. Philippa is of Empress Elizabeth of Austria-Hungary about 400 years later. Almost everything you recited is pretty common knowledge. Victoria was a bizarre person even for her time. I doubt that most of us would find her company at all pleasant or desirable. Her portraits were VERY flattering. One of the things that many actually don't know is that she had a German accent. It was slight but voice coaches were hired to try to completely rid her of it. She required that at least one recording of her voice be destroyed. Too bad.
So it's called "Victoria Secret"…
The only reason the marriage to sustain was cuz it was not a deal
