The global temperature is set to exceed 1.5C above pre-industrial levels for the first time in the next five years, the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) has warned.
There is a 66% chance of this temperature being recorded at least once between now and 2027 – which would mark the first time in human history.
However, scientists have stressed this would not mean the world had permanently surpassed the threshold.
Almost every country in the world has committed to trying to limit warming to ideally 1.5C above levels before the Industrial Revolution.

I guess we will see who is laughing on Wall Street years down the road. I mean those guys win regardless up until that time they meet the Kings of Kings. We will see if these science climate clowns are right or wrong about the future events they predict will happen down the road. Oh darn where did all that water come flooding into the Bull pit where all the trading is done on Wall Street. Oh that is former glacial ice from somewhere way down south. Oh Mr. American Big Bucks your beach house is "Gone with the Wind" and flooding. History has taught us humility comes with great suffering. Many then the Wall Street types with the attitude "damn the torpedoes fool economic speed ahead" might finally admit yes we humans with our consumptions of fossil fuels caused this by incessant fuelishness. Proactive measures to deal with global warming require cooperation all the way from local to international levels in order to achieve the greatest effect. Any deficiencies will strengthen reactive measures such as seen in competition for resources.

It is not degrees. 1.5c means 1.5 celcius that is 34 some odd degree rise.
