Upstate Ny about 8 Inches and is supposed to start again in a few hours!!!
In the valley of Luzerne County PA it started snowing moderately around 2pm. The heavier snow came in around 6:30pm-7:00pm. As soon as that heavier snow picked up,it started to mix around 8:00pm,but it didn't completely change over. It was fine, thin snow flakes with sleet and a drop of rain mixed in. Storms wrapping up now for my area,but could expect another inch throughout the night. Predictions were 4-8inches. We got about 3.5-4inches then that mix came and pushed it down even more. So I'm bummed out but at the same time happy I saw snow. It is such a wet heavy snow. My coat was soaked for only being out an hour. Wondering if the Euro is correct about next weekends storm,I hope we get hammered!
Also just wanted to note I'm 30miles away from the Poconos they stayed all snow and got a good 10inches as of 11pm. We started of as snow with mixing at night and totals of only 3-4inches.
Bullshit. Ohio will never get another good snowstorm ever again. Don’t get your hopes up for an Ohio winter storm next weekend because all Ohio is, is a disappointment

In my opinion, the ECMWF model was very accurate last winter and was spot on for the Polar Vortex we had last year the week before Christmas. I know you can't always go by that, but with how accurate it was last winter and this past spring, I will stick with the ECMWF model. With that said, GFS could fool everyone and be spot on.

I live on the Southcoast of Massachusetts and I am so happy we have no snow. I wonder if the unusually warm water this summer caused the coastal southern New England areas to not get snow.
No need for me to get prepared for this storm because I'm still prepared for the last storm that never happened..

I've been watching the channel for years since I moved from southeast Florida to Central Pennsylvania and it's wonderful to see your current winter predictions come to fruition. I'm just southwest of Harrisburg and we got smacked yesterday! It was awesome to FINALLY see SNOW!!! We did have some mixing with sleet probably 2/3 in, with snow finishing. I so look forward to the snow and cold finally coming our way. I had a lifetime of heat and hurricanes so please bring on the cold and winter precipitation(except ice, lol). Thanks again!!!!
