Some flowers and fruit trees are already blooming too. I planted two rows of carrots 6 days ago and they`re coming up already and my fig tree is putting out leaves. We`ve had a lot of rain here so far and my radishes, beets, onions, spinach, turnips, collards, mustard greens and other vegetables and seedlings are looking healthy. I`m still scared to put all my new fruit trees in the ground in case we get another freak freeze. I have a giant tarp to cover at least some of the blackberries if we do.

Small spin ups east of the Quad Cities and near Rockford, didn't hear any damage, Chicago news had a few large hail reports up to egg size. I heard a scary report out of Marengo IL. Where a transformer was hit by lightning and a family heard a loud boom and found a large hole in their basement wall where the electricity traveled to. We had some awsome booms of thunder here and was pretty cool as I love my non severe tstorms.
