why thank you for these astonishing find Katrina. #1 did catch my ear though I am a North American Indian and the 7 sisters tale i heard that tale too. The story i heard differed a bit from the ones you told but i was happy that i actually heard something before you had the privilege of letting me know.

Wow!! The seven sisters rock art is FACINATING!! I had NO idea that Australian Aborigines and the Romans told the same story about them. What's really interesting is that today, most people who look at the seven sisters constellation, see six, eight, or nine stars, not seven.
Neanderthals were wiped out? is that why everyone except Africans have about 2% Neanderthal DNA? they weren’t completely wiped out, but their population was way, way smaller and an even smaller % interbred with H.sapiens

All of that distance between those cultures coming up with the same stories must have been similar experiences for these people that is the only logical explanation
