NASCAR has this sort of inexorable magnetism towards strange weather events, and it no doubt has to do with it’s 10 month long season and the fact that it hosts races from coast to coast. From the winy midwest, to the rainy wetlands of Florida, to the dry deserts out west, and everywhere in between, NASCAR has seen it all. Here’s the worst of the worst.

What America calls a blizzard us Canadians call it a nice Saturday of outdoor fun.
I remember when I lived in Ohio in the 90's schools and everything got shutdown for 1 inch of snow it was nuts seeing total panic for absolutely nothing.
Bristol, has been effected by rain a fair bit, including flooding one year.
at 10:25 when you mentioned the Homestead race wasn't hampered by rain is false. The 2011 showdown between Stewart and Edwards had rain issues all day long.
I was at the 2021 nashville Cup race. They ran out of water 2 hours before the race started
Plus the storm that made the 2019 Chicagoland Cup Race a night race spawned a tornado about a mile north of my house
You forgot to mention that rain screw up by Larry Mac cost Davey the Winston Million as well.
16:20 and now, that "smaller team" finally won a race outright. no rain, no fog, no wrecks, just pure and utter domination.
I still donβt understand why they canβt use rain tires on ovals if itβs light rain
Drag racing has this problem alot… Beautiful all week.. when it's the weekend and time to race boom rain off and on all weekend
Votex theory works. Seen it happen at dirt tracks a lot, with fog and rain. Depends on severity of storm. If itβs a strong one, thereβs nothin you can do.
You talk too much
19:08 this is hilarious
I went to the 2022 Bristol Dirt race. We know there was 2 small rain delays. There was a Kyle Busch fan sitting right in front of me being kinda annoying. Well, he and his group left during the second delay and Kyle Busch won the race
Oh great 100th vid
1993 Motorcraft 500 in Atlanta is beyond crazy
1:44 don't forget the NHL's Winter Classic, Stadium Series and Outdoor Classics with Minor League Hockey
S1apsh0es: WAH WAH WAH
7:25 FAKE NEWS
All I hear from is S1apsh0es WAH WAH WAH
Dont need to worry about wind blowing away your home ? Lol maybe someone should tell america how to build wind proof houses
The Coke 400 of 2014 rained out twice, and the race had to be delayed for two days. I know this because i was there
17:38, As an Iowan, the south keeps giving us their heat and humidity via southerly winds, making Summer more unbearable than in Arizona, where it's hot, but arid. Right now, we have about 110* heat and like 90% humidity, which is even more exacerbated since I am very warm blooded and am completely fine wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts in 20* weather. I am moving to South Dakota as soon as possible.
You forgot about Martinsville 2018 snowβ¦
the LLL music during the desert part ππ
I was at Bristol in March of 2006. Froze my dick off. It was my first time there. It was funny watching one of the crewmembers fling a snowball at the fans then getting pelted by hundreds of snowballs in return.
is this guy for real lol chat some shit
That was fun to watch
I love DW for so many reasons and vortex theory is one of them.
Twisted Toe cameo π³
Waltrip canβt possibly beleive that the Vortex Theory is real. Even if we want to entertain the idea that the cars can move a large enough volume of air to create a βvortexβ, there is no way that βvortexβ rises to a minimum of 6,500 feet and disturbs the the cloud floor. Let alone the other 10,000-20,000 feet of cloud cover.
A large aircraft such as the 747, which weighs much more than all the cars on the track combined, creates very large and dangerous vortexes. But, they only require about 900 feet of spacing behind them in order to not disturb the trailing aircraft on approach. Somehow some 3,300 pound cars can create a vortex large enough to disturb clouds more than a mile above? Not a chance.
13:24 im guessing its too hard to put subtitles since that twistedtoe clip with the subtitles was "stolen" from ellyproductions49
7:01 I would like to have the noon start time for Daytona 500
3:14 These drivers are so overrated, unbelievable
GOLF!!!!!!!! Weather impacts almost every race.
Stupid things about NASCAR, thereβs not a damn thing stock about any of these cars, and the fact they canβt drive in the rain while multiple other motorsports can, is embarrassing.
π³οΈβππΊπΌποΈπ§°π οΈπ§πͺποΈπππ‘π§’π»π€π·π°πΉπ±π 19:53 I remember that happened 30 years ago for Storm Of The Century I live in Port Charlotte FL while my youngest brother Austin is 2 months old & I suppose to go Baker Pre-K Center in Punta Gorda FL but the weather is crazy in March 1993 & by next month April 5th 1993 like uh oh in middle of the night we have tornado touchdown in Port Charlotte FL & couple of places got hit pretty bad as well my grocery store Winn Dixie near condos of my mom mom Hope & granddad Frank used to live there. Like boy it was the worst weather ever I never felt.
What's the clip at 2:15?
Daytona Speedway might not be able to dodge rain but one thing that track can dodge is tornadoes
Excuse me snow at LVMS? WTF
Nascar pharaoh's curse 11:38
I was driving back from gulf shores Alabama that weekend. Us Minnesota folk were watching the weather. Left early we knew what was coming. Stayed just ahead of the storm all the way back. Listening to the radio talking about firetruck flipping over and freeways shutting down.
Didn't NASCAR have a race that was so dry that they were slipping and sliding on DUST?
I remember a Daytona 500 that lasted all day and a jet dryer got hit by juan pablo montoya
Americans: OMG itβs snowing. Its Armageddon!!!
Canadians: π
what's that baseball thing from?
I watched the vortex theory work in real time at Bristol in 2021
One phrase buddy, winter of 78'.
Yep I was at that 2022 Martinsville race too. It was pain
Mid 1980s Richmond when it was the week after Daytona.
