My dad was in a band that played on the Opry and at Opryland every week. So I grew up around a lot of different musicians and met a lot of the 90's and early aughts country stars. I have no idea what my first concert because I was around it all the time since I was born… I do remember going to see Skynrd in middle school, which was a wild environment for a 12 year old to be around…
Breakfasts cues for ad reads are *chefs kiss
I know y'all were listing things but it sound like:
Aaron: And the dude from gladiator
Dusty: Yeah, Steve Buscemi
300 of the greatest hours ever! Looking forward to the next 300 hours!
I was at The Who concert in Tampa. My buddy got tickets for my birthday and we drove 5 hours to go the show, sat through the opener, and then seconds into the first song it was over. Sadly we weren’t able to make it to the make up date later in the year. Such a bummer.
I also never thought of dinosaurs much until having a son. Now I have ranking of top 3 favorite Dino’s. And must be ready to discuss their skills and abilities at any time
Aaron being a Guster fan and acknowledging how “fascinating” it is that the Thunder God (drummer Brian Rosenworcel) plays hand drums was a very unexpected surprise. Aaron, just when I think I can’t relate to you more, you drop something like this in the mix. Absolutely fascinating. 😂😂
As long as the guys watched the video of Fear playing on SNL and as long as they commented on it, no one mentioned the full grown man in a dress playing the guitar!
Dusty is definitely the Dunning Kruger candidate.
After listening to this episode I decided to just randomly go back and pick a previous episode to listen to. I landed on episode 58. Within the first 10 minutes you’re all discussing how Aaron is pitching the first pitch at an upcoming Sounds game. Nate is even giving Aaron advice including going into the splits before the pitch. Kind of hilarious that in the most recent podcast Nate had NO IDEA that Aaron had beat him and Breakfast to the throwing out the first pitch. 😂 Love you guys! Thanks for all the laughs!
That's so crazy Aaron! My first concert was Guster also. The Georgia Theater in Athens, freshman year at UGA
I went to a metal concert with 2 of my friends. One of my friends and I were at the very front of the stage. All the craziness was happening behind us. We watched the band's entire set wondering where our 3rd friend was the whole time. We found out later that he was knocked unconscious by some kid flailing his fists around. He woke up being dragged out by security where they monitored him for a while. This all happened 10 to 20 feet behind us without us seeing anything.
Another time, I took my 16 year old nephew to a "Christian" metal concert years ago. Apparently, the band we went to go see was touring with a mix of bands, many of which were NOT Christian. So I took my sister-in-law's high school boy and exposed him to many, many… many bad words. At one point, the lead singer of one of the bands had the crowd split in half and go to opposite sides of the room, and then sprint at each other Braveheart style. This was at the Fillmore in San Francisco, an old theatre with a balcony. When the crowd split up, I grabbed my nephew and took him to a safe area to watch the chaos. I saw a trash can falling from the balcony area land directly on the head of a guy in a full sprint.
We stayed in the back for the rest of the concert and I told him not to tell his mom about anything that happened that night!
Nate: What are people going to do for jobs?
Brian: Stand-up comedy.
Most underrated comment in the history of podcasts 🤣🤣
Aaron is pretty bold to throw words like viscosity around when he didn’t know what a merry-go-round was a few episodes ago.
Dusty could name his son Clay, Clay Slay
The British authorities doing things like shutting down a concert at 10:30pm because of a curfew is the kind of authoritarian attitude that caused the revolutionary war.
Would it kill Nate to laugh at his co-hosts’ jokes?! I mean, sheesh. He seems utterly disinterested. Sort of takes the fun out of the laughter…
There were a good 20-30 seconds there where I thought I was listening to botched ad for a trampoline park
It’s so strange ole college boy struggled with logic. I feel like I learned stuff like that in 5th grade. I remember all those “water is to wet as sand is to…” questions. Now I imagine 20 something year old Aaron saying that his professor “gun! Airport! Car!“ then running out of the room and slamming door upset he can’t get his last credits to graduate.
You guys are awesome ❤
I love how they discuss 'Dunning-Kruger" and then immediately launch into Dusty talking about Dinosaurs. lmaooooooo. Dinosaurs did NOT evolve into birds, that is NOT how evolution works.
1:57:45 Bruce Spris is to Nate as Bay Sannas is to Dusty.
Kind of makes me sad that Nate didn't really know that Dusty only has one kid right now and none of them seemed to know that Hannah is pregnant. I thought maybe they were friends IRL. Weird that Dusty only just announced it now also?
Wanted to watch the movie the island. As rusty dusty recommended. My wife asked why would you name your movie the island when there is 1million movies named the island. We didn’t get to watch the movie.
Nate saying ‘I think it’s short for Mike’ was gold and no one caught it 🤣🤣
Since y’all are animal fight experts, I thought I’d let you know that I had a bizarre animal dream last night. An emu was attacking my friend and I…the emu won.
I just started listening a few months ago and I wanted to express how much I appreciate your comedy. Three years ago my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and we decided to surround ourselves with as much laughter as possible. We started watching more 90s sitcoms since there so few good sitcoms/shows today. This eventually led us to find this podcast and your comedy specials. The past few months we have laughed so much together and even cried because we were laughing so hard. My wife is cancer free now and we will see Nate in Evansville next Saturday and Dusty in Bowling Green in November. Thank you for your clean comedy and your funny opinions.
1st concert was Bob Seger with my parents, Georgia Satellites opened, it was awesome
My son and I were at the second show for Dusty’s taping; really happy to hear he’s leaving the first yell in!
We’ve been having a long running debate and would love to hear y’all weigh in.
You can have $10 million in hand now, but there’s a catch.
A snail is chasing you for the rest of your life and if it touches you, you die a terrible death. The snail can’t be killed. It knows your locator all times. It’s only purpose is to find you.
Do you take the money?
I wasn’t sure where to send a comment to. Hopefully Bates sees this! I’ve been a natelander since episode 1. I saw him in vail last year and again this week at red rocks. I had the honor to meet Stephen Bargatze as he was saying hey to everyone in the first few rows. He was as wonderful as I’ve heard and my fiancé and I talked to him for a few moments. Made my night before Nate even did! I just want to say how incredible the show was. I couldn’t stop laughing and was brought to happy laughing so hard tears several times. I’d sit in the rain again and again to watch Nate. Plus Nic! 🥲 thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives. You are the greatest American!
Believe it or not, the Roku Bassilisk thing came up for me this week. I'm in a strategic foresight class working on my Night College Masters, and someone posited that AI is demonic. I was glad I had Dusty's stance to back me up. I'm sure it made an impact in the education of a dozen leaders and their futures.
Here’s a quick sports fact that as a local I’m very proud of and I had nothing to do with it. The Cincinnati reds were the first baseball team and would play the first game of every baseball season until the early 2000’s. Also Every little throw away response from Dusty is GOLD. I saw Nate in Cincinnati a few years back and it was amazing. Keep up the great work fellas.
Aaron and Dusty should start a side-cast so I can laugh but also marvel at their crazy intelligence. Aaron is the best dressed on the pod, by a mile. The hat and jersey combos are about as cool as it gets.
Or they are just misunderstood as Lacerta says
Primates in trees ?
When Breakfast so confidently said Scorpions were arachnids i almost did a spit take. Id try to explain why but who really cares lol
Y’all need to expand the animal fights into a hunger games type format
I was at the Garth Brooks concert at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge last year and when he played Callin Baton Rouge it registered as an earthquake at the LSU seismograph
The fact that Bates doesn’t have a fan club called The Breakfast Club seems like a real missed opportunity. I’d love to know if anyone on the podcast was part of any fan clubs when they were younger.
Brian should pitch how he puts and lift his foot up late
I would love to see the guys do an 18 hole putt putt competition. The Genovations Media could go along to film it. Perhaps some of Nate's golf buddies could provide the commentary? Everyone would be required to use the standard rubber putter, so Nate couldn't bring his special one along. This could be the first of many vidoes from the Nateland Sports Network.
I'll go proofread this now.
Nate might be the best clean comic to ever do it.
You forgot to mention the most iconic rain performance, Prince at Super Bowl halftime.

Aaron mentioned that he could eat a large papa John’s pizza. Are we going to let this comment just float by without a pizza eating challenge?
Nate please do taste buds!
The Virginia Beach show was so fun! But-man it WAS hot!😂😅
Nate disputing the Dunning Krueger effect is the very definition of the Dunning Krueger effect
