The Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP) Documentation

The Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP) is connected to the rumored “Pentagon UFO Study” known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). That exact connection and relationship is still unknown, as there are varying explanations depending on the party involved.

This page aims to archive all documents on this program, as released by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Some requests were filed about the overall program, while others were for specific documents as published in the Skinwalkers at the Pentagon book, which was authored by the director of the AAWSAP, Dr. James Lacatski, George Knapp and Dr. Colm Kelleher.

Defense Intelligence Reference Documents (DIRDs)

According to Dr. Eric Davis, who was interviewed on the Coast to Coast AM radio show on January 28, 2018, he confirmed that while working for Bigelow Aerospace / BAASS, they created 38 of these “Defense Intelligence Reference Documents” or reports under AAWSAP. Also according to Dr. Davis, these papers that were submitted were about various topics, including (but not limited to) warp drives, propulsion systems, etc.

Within 48 hours of that interview, on January 31, 2018, The Black Vault had filed for ALL of those reports, as referenced by Dr. Davis. This was given FOIA case FOIA-0159-2018.

In January of 2019, The Black Vault received a listing breakdown of the reports (an slightly different version had already leaked) via FOIA request FOIA-0033-2019 with the DIA.

On March 25, 2022, the DIA finally completed FOIA request FOIA-0159-2018, and released 37 of the requested 38 DIRD reports. The Black Vault has appealed the one report seemingly ignored, which was the classified version of the “State of the Art and Evolution of High-Energy Laser Weapons” report, classified SECRET. This was not even referenced as being withheld in the release document, so the basis of the appeal is on the adequacy of their search.

Here is a listing of the 37 DIRD reports released. For another, more extensive breakdown, you can see the The Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) DIRD Report Research page, as well.

Note: The following are in numerical order of the DIA release via this FOIA request, not the original list.
