A climatic catastrophe rocked the Earth in A.D. 535, causing two years of darkness, famine, drought and disease. Was it a comet? An asteroid? A volcano?

Archaeologist David Keys reveals that a volcano is to blame for the Dark Ages of famine and plague that shaped the world order of today.

Jesus was shaking up the Jews & the Romans for their unholy practices.
Why is there a “context” note on climate change that says only human beings cause climate change on a video about volcanic activity causing climate catastrophes lol
This will happen at the end of the world. for 4 days and the day after the sun will appear from the west and humans will be scared and worried and jeopardize
At 27:58 – wouldn't melting of the ice core samples before analysis release gases that you'd want to observe if they were present?
As an Indonesian, I wish there were other countries willing to adopt Anak Krakatau (son of krakatoa) and give him a decent place to live.
Sooo that is the reason that period of time was known as the “DARK AGES”

Crazy thing to think about is the fact that some similar eruption happened today, not much would change. Drought, famine, war, major balance of power shifts… humans are nothing if not predictable when the chips are down.
1:04:23 "When the number of dead reached a quarter of a million, officials simply stopped counting" …LOL government lived and died by numbers and perspective that it actually did something even back then!
And Google's Youtube is flagging this video with the UN's definition of Climate Change.
Scientists think that it was an eruption of Krakatoa and the long winter that ensued.
Good information but the absolute stupidest sound effects. Extremely annoying.
This is old news … do something better
"The sun shall be darkened, the moon and the stars shall not give their light." I wonder how many people thought this was the biblical apocalypse?
Watched this Documentary today…. I suppose the downfall of Mahabalipuram on the south coramandal coast just south of Chennai or Madras too may have coincided with this eruption… 6-7 century… It's still not known what caused the downfall of Mahabalipuram… today this a UNESCO World Heritage site
Winter gripped the world for two years? Perpetual darkness?
Yep…..that's upstate NY all right.
Scandinavian viking mythology spoke of the "Fimbul Winter" which lasted 3 years and was caused by the sun being eaten by the "Fenris Wolf". The research presented in this video and elsewhere shows that the Fimbul Winter myth was not just a myth but based on real events.
