There arent many big companies here and the companies that are here don't pay worth a crap. Thats why everyone is "poor" when compared to the rest of the state, but we make it just fine. We dont have to make $25 an hour to barely scrape by and even when we are barely scrapping by, we've been raised to live off the land in one way or another to help make ends meet. Everyone is generous and helpful because thats just how we are raised to be. I get compliments all the time for stuff i thought was considered normal decency. And all and all, there are absolutely horrible people here and lots of crime, if you live in certain areas, but there's bad people every where you go. Its just some are more obvious than others. And all this put together is why mississippi is one of a kind.
