I'm In Alabama. We always have tornado watches/warnings with hurricanes. They won't meet head to head, hurricanes spawn tornadoes. It's why the south have more dangerous tornadoes then tornado alley.

Actually, hurricanes can make themselves stronger by absorbing other storms (not tornados), such as snow storms, making a hurricane/snow storm hybrid. They become blizzards; in particularly in the Northeastern United States, they are called "nor'easters".

Iโ€™m sorry but both the premise of this video and the content is absurd. Tornadoes and hurricanes are on completely different scales of size, they would not rotate around each other. The tornadoโ€™s parent thunderstorm would just get absorbed by the hurricaneโ€™s outer rain bands. Thereโ€™s so much more to say but I couldnโ€™t possibly cover it all here.

Won't the tornado just join the hurricane

If a tornado were to hit a hurricane, the effects would likely be severe and destructive. The strong winds and heavy rainfall of a hurricane combined with the rotating winds of a tornado could cause extensive damage to buildings and infrastructure. The potential for loss of life would also be high. However, it is relatively rare for tornadoes to occur within hurricanes as the conditions that lead to the formation of these storms are typically distinct.

If they merge… call it a tornadocane

Dave Weed February 3, 2023 at 1:49 am

What if? It would never happen. You are talking about two different weather phenomena.

Tornadoes usually happen or rather supercells from warm moist air clashing with colder air and wind shear either speed or directional. Hurricanes happen when the sea is warm and a wave in the winds with enough updraft to enclose the circulation.

But your scenario would never happen because in reality a cold front directs hurricanes and repels them so far away from one another. The Fujiwara effect will influence a weaker tropical system around it and may combine eventually. So what if will never happen.
