Strange Weather

What is the RISKIEST Region in the US as the Climate Changes?

Climate Change is increasing the frequency and severity of natural disasters all around the world. And in the United States, more and more people seem to be moving to the places that are projected to be most impacted by climate change, from hazards such as flooding, wildfire, storms, drought and extreme heat; and leaving the most climate-resilient areas. At first glance, this seems like a bizarre and paradoxical trend. So, for this episode of Weathered, we decided to see if we could get to the bottom of it.

We spoke to experts and sifted through lots of data about moving trends and shifting climate patterns to figure out what’s really going on here and what you can do to avoid moving into harm’s way.

Weathered is a show hosted by weather expert Maiya May and produced by Balance Media that helps explain the most common natural disasters, what causes them, how they’re changing, and what we can do to prepare.

It's not like people don't know the risks. They move regardless of them. It is their choice to make and their choice to suffer the consequences. But the consequences should not be the responsibility of those who didn't make those bad decisions.

Glad I live in an extreme northern, rural setting.

The fact they focused so much on how much less the slave force can work. 😂 What a joke. Phoenix is the best city in America.

I recently was offered employment in southern California. I take the information you recently shared with appreciation. Reason: economic. Ironically I currently live in the Houston, TX area. Not sure if I'm increasing or decreasing my chances of exposure to severe weather. One thing is for sure, it won't be new to me.

Moved from Midwest to Puget Sound area. Slightly higher risk for climate change… and a giant non-extinct volcano staring down at you every day.. but "better economic growth opportunities" have been countered by high cost of housing and living. If you could figure out how to turn the midwest into a giant suburb and still produce crops and livestock, then we would be ok.

The earth changes over time! It’s a hoax. We’re going back towards a tropical time period like Pangea then it goes back to colder. It’s a long long cycle

You people have no idea about what your talking about. You know about as much about the weather as you do the Sun. The Sun creates our local weather and Interstellar and Cosmit winds and debris.

All the California Hollywood Liberals are claiming that the oceans are rising due to human induced climate change. Ok. but why are they paying millions of dollars for Oceanfront properties and houses? Seems to me that they really don't believe it to be true. Why would you buy an ocean front home if you truly believed it's going to be swallowed up by the ocean ? hmmmmmm…..

WHY DO YOU BLAST SUCH LOUD MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO HEAR THE DIALOGUE?

Need to watch this climate change hypothesis. They started keeping data in 1880, I dont think they are seeing the whole picture, they only see what current science allows them to see.

They don’t care about climate, they care about money and culture.

Over populated thanks to ridiculous immigration policy.
I guess the coming food crisis will solve that.

I always wonder: Why keep printing more money and invest in those dangerous areas? To me, it’s like a waste of money.

If you want to live there, then you should spend your own money and deal with whatever happens next.

1 of the things that China did is push most of their population to the urban centers. Less than 10% of their population lives in the rural areas.

Why can’t we do that?

You know what's funny ? If we keep using ac and all that we won't evolve
