Seven activists protesting against climate change climbed into the Trevi fountain in Rome and poured diluted charcoal into the water to turn it black.
The protesters from the Ultima Generazione (Last Generation) group held up banners saying “We won’t pay for fossil [fuels]” and shouted “Our country is dying.”

We are destroying the planet to save the planet. The solar panels have to be dug up from the ground, the propellers that are used for wind aren’t biodegradable nor can they be reused or recycled, not to mention the heavy price of batteries on the roads and infrastructure to keep them going. Plus we have to dig up the supplies to make batteries. 🤦🏻♀️
Humanity has adapted since the beginning and slowly build the renewable while acknowledging that the planet has changed since the beginning and before humans while the planet will continue to change even if humans no longer exist. 🙄 Ask Sri Lanka how getting rid of fossil fuels has worked for them, mass starvation and the over throw of their government. I would like to know where they all think they get all the electric from, isn't some of from oil and gas. If they were so worried it would be far better to use the oil and gas as is instead of converting it to electric. To me it's a bit like taking coal to Newcastle, a place where coal used to be mined!!! To me that is stupidity at its best. I agree we need to help the planet, I recycle as much as possible, but if we get rid of fossil fuels that is idiocracy.

Maybe all power companies of all energy should shutdown in a total strike against these protestors and give politicians a real education. Without power, no heating or cooling and doing a multistore walkups should be fun especially without gas for cooking.
