There is a beautiful checkmate on this line: 35… Ne5 36. Rxh6 Nxg4 37. f3 Nf2+ 38. Kh2 Qg3+ 39. Nxg3 fxg3#
Who was getting the European phone call?
Anyone have a link to the Kramnik-Giri game with the colle system?
“Great success!” Also Fabi saying “He got his prep, but a tempo up somehow” made me laugh
Great series
Borat!
This was a crazy game
Premature Attackulation almost happened again😂. .19:05……Circum….
Best commentary on the championship matches by a huge margin. Thank you!
Which Kramnik giri game are they talking about?
I would enjoy these recaps more if the thumbnails didn't give away the results 😔😔😔
wow his engine runs at depth 51 (12:05)
I know you guys have other things to do, but can you think about continuing this kind of analysis after the world championship for interesting or important classical games?
Fabi "I don't want to be harsh"…proceeds to say the harshest thing possible 🙂
Stupid Chirila, Colle was from Belgium, Colle is pronounced Coll, not colley as Chirila does. Colley is a dog species.
what a game! great coverage y’all … dings got this!
This type of game Fabiano would win I think.
Fabi was like a disappointed father watching his sons just blitzing away moves
Love Fabi’s analysis!
he's not russian palyer, he's FIDE player
I was gonna cmt that we need 2 Fabis, one for the live stream and one for the hour-long recap. Then I saw this. Wat a treat!
I have a suggestion, not only for this, but other chess channels:
You should indicate the move number! That way we can all have a reference point to discuss the best moves given a particular position
It'll be interesting to see who comes out of the next candidates cycle. Radjabov and Hikaru got really close, with Fabiano having one of the strongest starts.
One expects somebody to collapse if you're defending a difficult position or chasing the leader (ie, Ding), but not if you're winning the match and have a winning position in a game.
Love your work, Fabi! You’re an amazing commentator for the world championship.
Ian deserved this for his Qh4 bluff.
Idk is it just me or Fabi needs somebody else to commentate with. This Christian guy asks questions worse than press’ question at wcc
Can't spell chess without Hess. Caruana hot as a sauna. GM Cris almost gave Hans his fist.
"Obviously, none of this stuff is obvious" Fabi – I enjoyed that one
Normally when I watch super GMs play and think "wait isn't that a blunder?" , usually I am the one who is wrong and missed some clever tactic. f5?? is incredible for a world class GM at the height of his powers.
lmao shots fired GM Caruana is like "Bro, he was playing at a very low Elo. I won't say just how low, but it's lower than you think I'd say."
I found the game Kramnik-Giri that was mentioned like 6-7 into the video.

Honestly took me a little while to figure out why black is even losing in the final position
Christian is a nice guy but he needs to chill and just let Fabi talk.
Just like when you’re playing a competitive video game. When you’re getting blasted you stop thinking and go with instinct.
Fabi says it's strange the play went from so precise to so poor. I don't think so.
Fabi must have seen so many of those Short vs Kasparov games where Short played beautiful attacking chess and had Kasparov dead and then began to miss easy tactics once he knew he was winning. He even stated the one game he did win was because he didn't realise it was winning till the very end.
Knowing you are about to win be World Champion can do very strange things to a guy who very deep down might not believe he deserves it.
I'd still consider this less amazing than the way GM Svidler collapsed in the World cup final a few years ago.
Funny how Fabi reacts after hearing that "amazing statistic" . 1:07:30 Also was hilarious – "Kramnik followed his prep and was dead lost… It will never happen". Same thing happened to Fabi in the Covid Candidates against Ding, super complex game (prep) and -2 evaluation.
Fabi's "I got messages from people…" was hilarious. These two are great together.
