Strange Weather

Incoming storms could produce baseball sized hail east of Denver

For the first time this spring season, widespread severe weather is possible for Denver and the Front Range overnight tonight and on Wednesday afternoon. It could also mark the highest severe weather risk the Denver metro area has seen in several years.

The first threat for severe storms will be overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, with the possibility of large hail and damaging winds from Denver north to Fort Collins.

The main threat for overnight storms will come between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. The risk for severe weather – mainly large hail – will increase as you head north from Denver. It’ll likely be highest for Fort Collins and Greeley for tonight.

If you have access to one, cover your car in a garage or a carport (or with a comforter or tarp if not).
